Private family beta
A hand with Bruce.
Contact your family organiser, Woody, using your usual contact details.
Tell him which screen you were using, what you expected and what happened. Include your iPhone model and iOS version if useful. Keep passwords and private documents out of support messages.
Signing in
Each family member uses their own username and password. If you have forgotten yours or cannot get in, ask Woody to arrange a reset. There is no automatic password-reset service in this beta.
A sign-in lasts up to 12 hours. If Bruce asks you to sign in again, your saved messages and records remain available. Child sign-ins open family chat; Money access is controlled separately for adults.
What works in this beta
- Family chat
- Messages are saved in Bruce and appear for invited family members. The app needs an internet connection.
- Open your family group or share a selected message manually. Bruce does not join, read or automatically reply to the WhatsApp group.
- Notifications
- Browser notifications can be enabled on a supported device. On iPhone, the website needs to be added to the Home Screen. The native app’s notification button currently tests a local alert; remote native family alerts are not connected.
- Location
- The native app shows an optional preview of this iPhone only. Family location sharing, background tracking and arrival alerts are not available.
- Ask Bruce and connected accounts
- Ask Bruce is not connected yet. External calendar, email and bank refresh connections remain separate work; opening a provider’s sign-in page does not update Bruce’s records.
If something stops working
- Check your internet connection, then use Refresh or Try again.
- If a message says its send could not be confirmed, retry the same draft; Bruce checks for duplicates.
- For browser notifications, sign in again after your session expires and enable them for that sign-in.
- If it still fails, contact Woody with the screen name and the message you saw.
Your account and information
Contact your family organiser, Woody, using your usual contact details to request an account closure, a copy or correction of your information, or deletion of a record.
Explain which account or record the request concerns. The organiser handles it manually. Archiving or signing out does not delete information, and backups may retain copies until they expire. Read the privacy notice for how Bruce uses your information.
